PESEL number receiving

If you plan to stay in Poland for more than 30 days, you will need a PESEL number. This is a unique number that serves to uniquely identify the person to whom it is assigned.

There is no obligation to obtain a PESEL, but the absence of this number can become an obstacle to many activities and services that are important for a foreigner.

Making Legalization in Poland Easy for Foreigners

You will need a PESEL number:

- if you want to obtain a Polish identity document

- driver's license,

- residence card,

- travel document.

- Some offices and institutions also require you to provide a PESEL number.

You will need it to get a

- medical card,

- pay taxes,

- register for social security.

To calculate and pay remuneration, the employee will also need to provide the PESEL number to his employer.

How to get PESEL?

How to get PESEL? You will automatically receive a PESEL number when registering at your place of residence - receiving the so-called "mieldunek". To do this, you need to contact the district administration, fill out the appropriate application and provide documents confirming your right to occupy certain properties. Also, the owner of the properties can personally appear at the administration and confirm in writing his consent to the provision of living space and your registration for a certain period (more than 30 days).

If you are unable to register at your place of residence, you can apply for a PESEL number. The application must be completed in Polish, including the legal basis for obtaining a PESEL number. You can obtain the exact name of the regulatory act in force at the time of submitting your application from an administration employee. You must attach a copy of the document to your application, confirming your identity and provide the original document for verification. If you fill out the application correctly and have the necessary documents, the number will be assigned to you on the same day, and a corresponding certificate will be issued. Taking into account the preparation of documents and possible waiting at the administration office, the entire process may take several hours.

You can apply for PESEL yourself, or contact INSPIRIO GROUP specialists.

In this case, you will only need to send us certain information in advance to prepare the application and arrive at the administration office at the agreed time and sign the application in the presence of our manager and administration employee. You do not have to fill out the documents yourself and give explanations to the employees of the department. The entire procedure will take minimal time and you will not need to set aside the whole day for this.

At INSPIRIO GROUP we will guide you through administrative procedures in Warsaw without stress and wasting time!
